Programme: Bachelor of Mechatronic Engineering Technology (Robotics) / Bachelor of Mechatronic Engineering Technology

Institution: Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA)

Course Description

The Capstone Project is a final-year integrated design experience where students conceive, design, implement, and evaluate a complete engineering solution to a real-world problem. Students apply knowledge from across their programme under faculty supervision.

Key Components

  • Project proposal and feasibility study
  • Literature review and technical benchmarking
  • System design, prototyping, and fabrication
  • Testing, evaluation, and performance analysis
  • Technical report writing and oral presentation
  • Application of professional and ethical engineering practice

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Define and scope an engineering problem through systematic analysis
  2. Design and implement a complete engineering solution integrating multiple disciplines
  3. Apply professional engineering practices including documentation and project management
  4. Evaluate and validate engineering solutions against defined performance criteria
  5. Communicate engineering work effectively through written reports and oral presentations
